Dammeh is a community art center in Amman that brings together hip-hop and alternative contemporary arts, creating a space for free expression, creativity and movement through classes, workshops, and events.

Dammeh Philosophy

Dammeh Art Center is built on a holistic vision of the human being, viewed as an integrated unity of body, mind, and spirit. From this understanding, the center’s programs and spaces are structured around three core pillars that form the foundation of the Dammeh experience.

Body

This pillar represents movement, physical expression, and energy. It includes all forms of body-related arts and activities such as dance in its various styles, movement practices, meditation, and physical training. Here, the body becomes a tool for expression, liberation, and self-awareness, reconnecting individuals with rhythm, motion, breath, and physical presence.

Mind

This pillar focuses on emotions, inner awareness, and mental well-being. It brings together arts and activities that engage with feelings, mood, and psychological expression, including visual arts in all their forms, painting, creative discussions, and dialogue-based sessions. This space aims to support emotional expression, improve overall mood, and create a safe environment for reflection, communication, and personal growth.

Soul

The soul pillar opens the door to art forms that connect with deeper meaning and inner balance, with music at its core. In this space, art becomes a pathway to contemplation, presence, and spiritual connection, offering moments of calm, depth, and resonance beyond words.

Dammeh offers a safe space to learn, experiment, and express without limits or labels. Dammeh is not a traditional art center. It’s a circle. A session. A community.
